In short. Goals connects work that runs on a provider's own computer with people they choose to collaborate with. You control what you share. AI and agent output can be wrong, and you must review it before relying on or publishing it.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of the Goals websites, central coordination service, Desktop and Mobile applications, guest discussion pages, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, requesting a sign-in code, or using the Service after being shown these Terms, you agree to them and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you use Goals for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization. You must be at least 18 years old or the age required to enter a binding contract where you live.

2. What Goals provides

Goals is a collaboration layer for human and AI-assisted work. Execution remains on the session or service provider's device. The central service coordinates accounts, goals, sessions, memberships, permissions, encrypted relays, and the limited encrypted hosting described in the Privacy Policy. The current public launch is a friend Beta: it does not provide a public marketplace or process payments.

Some features connect software or AI services supplied by third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and charges. Goals does not receive your third-party credentials.

3. Accounts and security

Use accurate account information and protect your email account, device keys, invitation codes, and capability links. An invitation admits an account to a server; it does not grant access to another person's goals or work. A discussion capability link may allow anyone holding it to view or participate within the link's scope, so share it only with intended recipients and stop sharing when it is no longer needed.

4. Your content and permissions

You retain your rights in prompts, files, messages, code, summaries, proposals, deliverables, and other content you provide. You grant the operator a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to transmit, store, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the Service, follow your sharing choices, and comply with law. Because most shared content is end-to-end encrypted, the operator generally cannot read it.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and share content, including personal data and confidential material belonging to others. A workspace or session owner controls local execution and decides whether collaborator input is adopted.

5. AI and agent-assisted work

Agent output may be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure, non-unique, or subject to third-party rights. Review outputs, code changes, tool requests, and deliverables before using or sharing them. Do not rely on Goals or agent output as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or other high-impact decisions. Tool permissions and execution approvals remain your responsibility.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to break the law or another person's rights; distribute malware; gain unauthorized access; evade permissions, rate limits, or security controls; expose credentials or capability links without authority; harass, deceive, exploit, or endanger others; scrape or overload the Service; or submit content you are not permitted to process. You must not use Goals to make fully automated high-impact decisions about people.

7. Beta service, changes, and availability

The Service may change, contain defects, or be unavailable. We may add, remove, or limit features, but material changes to these Terms will be notified in the Service or by email before they take effect where required by law. Security, abuse, or legal risks may require immediate restriction. We may suspend an account that materially breaches these Terms, threatens the Service, or must be restricted by law, using proportionate measures where reasonably possible.

8. Fees

The current friend Beta is free and does not record or process payments. If paid plans or transactions are introduced, the applicable price, billing terms, cancellation rights, and any supplemental terms will be shown for separate acceptance before a charge.

9. Ending use and account data

You may stop using Goals and sign out or revoke devices at any time. To request account access, correction, export, or deletion, contact the operator. Some security, dispute, and legally required records may be retained for the period permitted by law. Local work, agent history, and files are controlled on the relevant owner's device and are not deleted merely by removing a central account.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Beta Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those mandatory rights, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

11. Governing law and disputes

The law and courts applicable to the operator identified above govern these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections and any right you have to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.

12. Contact and entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, notices shown for a feature, and any separately accepted supplemental terms form the agreement for the Service. If a translation conflicts with the English global version, the English version controls except where local law requires otherwise.
